The Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Dakota is a non-profit, 501c(3) organization, funded through a variety of sources. You may have dropped change into a canister at a local McDonald’s restaurant, or your kids may have collected pop tabs at school. These all help. And Charities are fortunate to benefit from generous donations–both personal and corporate–from around the state.




The Ronald McDonald House works with local recycling centers to receive money for collecting pop tabs from aluminum cans. If you would like to collect pop tabs, the House provides cardboard collection containers in the shape of the House. Collecting pop tabs is a fun and easy way for everyone—young and old—to help the House. Pop tab collection can be great project for kids, teaching them the importance of helping others.
